Before & After.
Coastal Colour Meets Contemporary Elegance.
We were engaged to renovate this 1990s kitchen, located within an open-plan kitchen, dining, and family room. The clients loved bold colour and had previously tried to introduce it themselves, but with the renovation, they wanted a more refined design that brought both light and vibrancy into the space.
With expansive views over the water, we kept the cabinetry along the window wall clean and understated—white cabinetry paired with a soft Corian benchtop helped maximise the natural light. For the tall storage units, we chose a turquoise finish to complement their existing furniture, which also paired beautifully with the bold orange splashback and matching toe kicks.
The island also features a Corian top, with a custom solid oak table connected for informal dining. This element incorporates a lightbox with printed glass panels that echo the Cole & Son palm leaf wallpaper used in the adjacent family area. The same printed glass appears on the splashback and behind a custom side unit, which includes matching cabinetry, a Corian top, and solid oak shelving.
To complete the look, we specified simple Tom Dixon pendant lights and warm oak floating floors—resulting in a bright, welcoming space perfect for entertaining.
