About the project.
MCD was approached to redesign the kitchen and lounge areas of the iconic Metropolis building in Auckland.
The original kitchen was confined to a small “boxed” room that felt dark and cramped. To enhance the space, we removed all the walls, creating a large, open kitchen featuring stunning marble on the island and benchtops. The black glass cabinetry reflected natural light from outside, giving the area a bright and airy feel. We also carried this elegant theme through to the entertainment unit and fireplace.
